Frutteto means ‘orchard’ in Italian as it is in the Tuscan hills near Florence that we make our healthier jams. We use handpicked, fully ripe, organic cherries sourced mainly from our local orchards.
Of artisan quality, we cook our Morello Cherry jam gently at low temperature, in small batches to help preserve the fresh cherry flavour, vitamins, minerals, fibre content and aroma. Unlike the traditional way of cooking jams and conserves, which can destroy the goodness with harsh heat. Fresh cherries are a good source of vitamin C and minerals, particularly potassium.
All the fruit used is certified organic and is rigorously tested to ensure there are no residues of pesticides or of PFAS ‘forever’ chemicals.
